Footprints of VANJ COMPENDIUM “INTRODUCTION TO JAPANESE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY” – Volume 1

On November 20, 2021, the first volume of the VANJ compendium “Introduction to Japanese Science and Technology” (Vol. 1) was officially launched after a long period of dedicated work by the project’s members (The Vietnamese Academic Network in Japan – VANJ as the organizer and Vietnam Japan Open Innovation Network – VJOIN as the co-organizer). With 35 articles, Vol.1 covers a wide range of fields in science and technology, including science policy, fundamental research, applied science and development in materials science, electronics, robotics, construction, environment, remote sensing, agriculture, molecular biology, medicine, and pharmacy. The articles are meticulously crafted and imbued with a strong desire to share with the authors’ home country the knowledge gained while studying and working in Japan.

This is also the first time that the Vietnamese community in Japan has produced a publication containing a wealth of technical and scientific knowledge. Since then, Volume 1 has been featured in numerous significant events and handed out to many Vietnamese government officials and experts. Presented are:

● Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien

● Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son

And many other government officials and experts.

Continuing the journey of Vol. 1, Vol. 2 is currently in the process of welcoming researchers and experts from educational and economic organizations to contribute articles, and share information, and knowledge across all fields, particularly in areas with potential for collaboration between Japan and Vietnam.
